About Our Church
At Vertical Church, we seek to honor God by fulfilling the mission the Lord gave His followers to make disciples, baptize the disciples, and teach them to follow His ways. Our History
From Humble beginnings
Vertical Church began in Spring 2010 when Pastor Luke & Jensine Ahrens and group of believers began praying about starting a new church in Columbus. Before moving to Central Ohio, Pastor Luke served on staff at Harvest Bible Chapel in Chicago. Vertical Church Columbus launched their first service on October 10, 2010 as member of Harvest Bible Fellowship, a church planting organization

Matthew 28:19-20
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Worship
God’s word admonishes us to worship together regularly. We worship together through community, music, and preaching of the truth every Sunday morning at 10:00 at Hastings Middle School.
Walk
Participation in a Small Group is the very best way to get to know and be known. Small Groups offer the opportunity for regular life-on-life engagement with the body of Christ. Walking with Christ together is how we grow in Christ together.
Work
Those who worship God also work for God. We encourage all our members to give of their time and energy to contribute to the work that God is doing in our church and around the city.
Witness
Disciples of Jesus tell those around them about who Jesus is and what he does for his people. There are many ways to form relationships with people in your natural spheres of influence, but we also participate in some other specific outreach activities.
“Our vision is to be a church that is faithfully committed to making more disciples and stronger disciples of Jesus Christ with an effective witness and mutual ministry.”

Our Leadership
This Church is so much more than a Pastor preaching on Sunday mornings. It’s a body of fervant believers serving the community and putting forth the gospel in worship, assimilation, and some of the daily tasks of a church.
